Money: Counterfeit Manufacturing

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps he is taking to reduce the number of counterfeit bank notes in circulation.
Answer

Issuance of banknotes in England and Wales is a key role of the Bank of England. As part of this objective, the bank has an anti-counterfeiting strategy to reduce the number of counterfeit Bank of England notes.
