Departmental Official Hospitality
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what receptions and events have been hosted by his Department since May 2010, including those sponsored by a third party.

This information could be provided only at disproportionate cost. We do not keep a central record of all receptions and events hosted by the Ministry of Defence (MOD), but they may include engagement with foreign governments, open days, air shows, military tattoos and commemorative occasions.Our current rules are that the offering of hospitality at any event funded by the MOD will be authorised only in exceptional cases.
