Identity and Passport Service: Compensation

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how much money the Identity and Passport Service has refunded to customers in circumstances where agreed levels of service were not met in the last 12 months.

For the seven months ending 31 October 2011, the Identity and Passport Service did not meet agreed levels of services in 572 instances, resulting in refunds of £24,332 to its customers. Information for the previous five months is not readily available without incurring disproportionate cost.
