Railways: Electrification

- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport with reference to the Chancellor of the Exchequer's statement that the Transpennine Express line will be electrified between Manchester and Leeds, whether her Department plans to request Network Rail to draw up a business case for the further electrification of that railway service between Middlesbrough station and the East Coast Main Line at Northallerton.
