Equitable Life Assurance Society: Compensation
- Question
- To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many Equitable Life policyholders had (a) received payments under the compensation scheme and (b) been contacted regarding compensation on the most recent date for which figures are available; what information his Department holds on the timetable for payments to be made under the compensation scheme; what steps have been taken to prioritise elderly policyholders; and if he will make a statement.

The scheme will be publishing a report in the new year on the progress of the scheme and the volumes and values of payments made.
