EU: Extractive Industries

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what steps they are taking to persuade the European Union to broaden the proposed European Union regulations on extractive industries to cover more sectors.

The Prime Minister has made clear that the priority is for the UK to press for requirements to be placed on EU extractives companies to disclose the payments they make to foreign Governments. We are engaging in discussions on the Commission's recent proposal.
