Energy: Suppliers
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what action they are taking to make it easier for consumers to make an informed choice when deciding whether or not to switch energy suppliers.
- Answer
-
The Government support work being undertaken by Ofgem in its retail market review in relation to energy tariffs. Ofgem’s proposals, published in December 2011, include a range of measures that will require suppliers to simplify tariff structures and billing information. The proposals should make tariffs easier to compare and help customers make better informed choices.
