HMRC monitors and assures that the regulator (ENTRUST) delivers its regulatory function effectively.HMRC holds an annual forum for the LCF community where any issues regarding the scheme can be discussed. In addition, HMRC officials have met with environmental bodies to discuss regulation of the scheme. The terms under which HMRC appoints the regulator, ENTRUST, are subject to periodic review. This allows HMRC to monitor and consider the regulator's role and effectiveness and agree any necessary improvements.
