Energy: Green Deal
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the timescales to which local government will be subject in any procurement of solid wall insulation under the Green Deal.
- Answer
-
Local authorities procuring solid wall insulation projects under the Green Deal will be subject to existing national and European procurement rules that apply to such activity. A number of local authorities are currently considering their options for delivering the Green Deal. For example, Birmingham City Council is currently procuring a Green Deal delivery partner; given the scale of the contract being tendered this is subject to European procurement rules.
