- To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills how much was paid to A4e between 2010 and 2012; and what proportion of this was paid to A4e's partners to provide services.

[holding answer 16 April 2012]: The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills made no payments to A4e in the 2009-10, 2010-11 financial year or 2011-12 financial year.Contracts covering the provision of adult skills in England, including education in prisons, are made by the chief executive of Skills Funding, supported by the Skills Funding Agency.
