If HMG can confirm press reports that the Iraqi army & air force have launched unprovoked attacks upon unarmed Shia civilians who had taken refuge in marshes of south-eastern Iraq; & if so what action propose to take in conjunction with our allies. - Incls fact that cannot confirm reports of systematic military action.
