Government Departments: Public Private Partnership

To ask Her Majesty's Government what is the current total level of debt of the public private partnership schemes sponsored by each government department.
Answer

The Whole of Government Accounts for the financial year to 31 March 2010, published on 29 November 2011, disclosed a total outstanding liability figure for private finance initiative schemes of £28.1 billion. This liability is made up as follows:
