- To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office what steps his Department is taking to ensure that the provisions of the Public Service (Social Value) Act 2012 are implemented during new procurement negotiations.

When it is brought into force, the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 will require contracting authorities to consider the full social environmental and economic value of public services procurements at the pre-procurement stage. Public procurers following best practice will already be considering these factors to ensure that their services are fit for purpose and represent value for money.
