- What recent discussions he has had with the Chairman of the National Rivers Authority about the provision of funds to compensate the holders of water abstraction licences whose licences have to be revoked in the interest of maintaining river flows at an acceptable level, or to protect groundwater levels. (Holding answer 12 March 1992).
