If he will list the (a) contractors and (b) NHS hospital trusts involved in the disposal of medical waste which are currently being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive. - The Health and Safety Executive is not currently investigating any contractors or NHS trusts in connection with the disposal of clinical waste. (Holding answer 14 March 1997).

Mr. McLeish: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the (a) contractors and (b) NHS hospital trusts involved in the disposal of medical waste which are currently being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive.[20766] Sir Paul Beresford: [holding answer 14 March 1997]: The Health and Safety Executive is not currently investigating any contractors or NHS trusts in connection with the disposal of clinical waste.
