Dr. David Clark: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when he expects to sign a contract with Portland Port Ltd. for the sale of Portland naval base; and if he will make a statement.[23553] Mr. Arbuthnot: Contracts for the sale of Portland naval base to Portland Port Ltd. will be exchanged on today when the purchaser will take possession and accept responsibility for the site.
