What revisions she proposes in respect of the framework document, setting out the aim and objectives of the Employment Service, with particular reference to the roles and responsibilities of the Secretary of State and the Chief Executive, following the introduction of the Jobseeker's Allowance. - Includes fact that copies of the new framework document in the Library as DEP/3 3996.

Lady Olga Maitland: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what revisions she proposes in respect of the framework document, setting out the aim and objectives of the Employment Service, with particular reference to the roles and responsibilities of the Secretary of state and the chief executive, following the introduction of the jobseeker's allowance. [41203] Mr. Forth: The framework document for the Employment Service has been revised to take account of the recommendations of the prior options review and the changed responsibilities and objectives of ES following the introduction of the jobseeker's allowance. Copies of the new framework document have been placed in the Library.
