Mr. Morgan: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give details of the new mortgage interest payments uprating; and what estimate he has made of the effect of the uprating of MIPS on the current public expenditure survey round. [40672] Mr. Waldegrave: [holding answer 14 October 1996]: I cannot answer substantively before Parliament is prorogued. I will, howeve, write to the hon. Member.
