Answer: Mrs. Bridget Prentice: To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what was the total expenditure on new buildings and premises by her Department and its agencies; and if she will indicate the square footage of new office space purchased or newly rented in each of the last five years. [41140] Mr. Sproat: My Department and its agencies have incurred expenditure of approximately £4,800,000 on new buildings and premises. Within the last five years 66,798 sq ft of new office space was acquired.
