Question: When, and by whom, the decisions were taken on the cost and details of the refurbishment of the Members' Tea Room and Strangers' Cafeteria.

Answer: Mr. Flynn: To ask the Chairman of the Catering Committee when, and by whom, the decisions were taken on the cost and details of the refurbishment of the Members' Tea Room and Strangers' Cafeteria. [6044] Sir Colin Shepherd: The decision on the principle and the cost of the proposed refurbishments of the Members' Tea Room and the former Strangers' Cafeteria was taken by the House on 12 July 1994, Official Report, columns 940-62, when it approved the Catering Committee's first report of Session 1993-94. Details of subsequent decisions taken to refine the principle of the refurbishments are available in the Committee's minutes of proceedings from Sessions 1994-95 and 1995-96.
