Question: What steps he intends to take to support the Society of British Aerospace Companies' Foresight Action initiative.

Answer: Mr. Menzies Campbell: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what steps he intends to take to support the Society of British Aerospace Companies' foresight action initiative. [9309] Mr. Arbuthnot: The foresight action initiative proposed by the Society of British Aerospace Companies--SBAC--contains a number of very interesting projects, the aims of which are firmly supported by the MOD. My officials are now awaiting detailed submissions from SBAC before evaluating the potential of these projects and the scope for incorporation into MOD plans.
