Question: What proposals he has to improve the A4 access to London. (Failed OPQ)

Answer: Mr. Robert Banks: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what proposals he has to improve the A4 access to London. [7465] Mr. Watts: There are two schemes in the national roads programme which will improve traffic flow and access on the A4. The preferred route for the junction improvements at Henley's and Waggoners corners should be announced shortly and the M4-A4 link, near Boston Manor road is in preparation for the longer term. Improvements are also proposed for Moor roundabout and adjacent junctions in association with the proposed Prospect park development. More modest long-term proposals are being considered at Boston Manor road junction, and for a new junction near Harlington corner. The A4 within London is part of the red route network. This is designed to improve the movement of traffic and implementation begins in February.
