Mr. Chris Smith: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate he has made of the cost of restoring free eye examinations to all those over the age of (a) 65, (b) 60 and (c) 55 years. [9664] Mr. Malone: Our estimates of the cost per annum are: (a) £24 million (b) £32 million (c) £40 million.
