Mr. Eric Clarke: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what changes in legislation he proposes to limit the powers of feu superiors in Scotland. [38741] Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: The Scottish Law Commission is considering proposals to abolish or amend the remaining aspects of the feudal system and will report in due course. The Government are committed to completing the reform of the feudal system, but would not wish to proceed in advance of the commission's report.
