- Statement on details of the new award to recognise conspicuous gallantry and heroism by members of the armed forces. - Inc fact that HM the Queen has approved the institution of the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross to recognise conspicuous gallantry and great heroism by members of the armed forces. This award will replace the Distinguished Service Order.
