- Pursuant to his Answer of 4th July, Official Report, column 14W, concerning the exchange rate and competitiveness, if he will publish a table showing the periods since 1970 when falls in the nominal exchange rate have been greater than that required to compensate for an increase in the general level of prices; and what evidence he has that such falls in the real exchange rate have been inflationary. - Including ref to "Financial Statistics" and "Economic Trends". - No figs given.
