Pursuant to his Answer of 4th July, Official Report, column 14W, concerning the exchange rate and competitiveness, what evidence he has that the continued devaluation of the Italian lira has raised the rate of inflation; and if he will publish a table showing for the pound and the Italian lira the fall since August 1992 in the nominal and real exchange rates against the Deutschmark, the ecu and the US dollar. - Including ref to "Financial Statistics" and "Main Economic Indicators". - No figs given.
