- What was the expenditure of (a) the Warren Springs Laboratory, (b) the National Engineering Laboratory, (c) the National Physical Laboratory and (d) the Laboratory of the Government Chemist in each year since 1989; what is the projected expenditure for the next three years; and how much income was generated from (i) government sources outside his Department and (ii) non-government sources since 1989. - Inc figures & text of letters from Dr D Cormack of Warren Spring Laboratory, W Edgar of National Engineering Laboratory, Peter Clapham of the National Physical Laboratory & RD Worswick of the Laboratory of the Government Chemist.
