- What studies he has made of the effect of the ban on the carriage and use of monofilament gill nets in Scottish waters under the Inshore Fishing (Salmon and Migratory Trout) (Prohibition of Gill Nets) (Scotland) Order 1986 and the Inshore Fishing (Prohibition of Carriage of Monofilament Gill Nets) (Scotland) Order 1986; and if he will now use his powers under the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967 to apply similar restrictions in English and Welsh waters.
