Mr. Allen: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the total amount of income received by the Exchequer from income tax in each of the last four years for which figures are available at current prices. [7558] Mr. Jack: Receipts of income tax can be found in table 1.2 of "Inland Revenue Statistics 1995", a copy of which is available in the Library.
