Question: If he will make it his policy to ensure that the supply of food and produce from small-scale producers, with special reference to garden, allotment and small market garden growers is not eliminated as a result of European directives. - Yes. This is already Government policy, but I am not aware of any moves by the European Union which would affect gardeners, allotment holders and market gardeners. (Failed OPQ)

Answer: Mr. Booth: To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make it his policy to ensure that the supply of food and produce from small-scale producers, with special reference to garden, allotment and small market garden growers is not eliminated as a result of European directives.
