What consultations he has had in his role as Chairman of the Local Government Cabinet Committee, in respect of the proper functioning of local government. (Failed OPQ)
Answer

Dr. Goodson-Wickes: To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what consultations he has had in his role as chairman of the Cabinet Committee on local government, in respect of the proper functioning of local government. [15533] The Deputy Prime Minister: The Government published a White Paper on 4 November, setting out a programme of action to strengthen local democracy, promote local authorities' local leadership role and further improve relations between central and local government.
