To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, what is the projected shortfall for (a) 1997-98 and (b) 1998-99 for (i) hospital doctors, (ii) general practitioners and (iii) nurses.

Dr. Harris: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is the projected shortfall for (a) 1997-98 and (b) 1998-99 for (i) hospital doctors, (ii) general practitioners and (iii) nurses. [21357] Mr. Win Griffiths: The information requested is not collected centrally but estimates of any projected shortfall may be obtainable from trusts, health authorities, and in the case of GPs, from the Medical Practices Committee.
