- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how long HMS `Invincible' will remain in the Mediterranean.

Mr. Bruce George: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how long HMS Invincible will remain in the Mediterranean. [21010] Mr. George Robertson: The issue of UNSCOM access to Iraqi facilities is not yet resolved and we need to maintain vigilance. HMS Invincible and her detachment of RAF Harriers, together with the RFA Fort Victoria, will remain in the Mediterranean until further notice.
