Mr. Campbell-Savours: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate he has made of the scale of the use of GP fundholder savings in helping health authorities and trusts meet closing of deficit requirements by the end of the current financial year; and what restrictions he intends to introduce. [11132] Mr. Milburn: I refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave him today. Fundholders may voluntarily return to their health authority savings which they do not wish to spend. There is no system in place to enable fundholders to give their savings to trusts to meet deficits.
