Question: If he will comment on BAA's policy in respect of aircraft queuing for take-off in order to maximise the number of departure slots.

Answer: Mrs. Dunwoody: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will make a statement on BAA's policy in respect of aircraft queuing for take-off in order to maximise the number of departure slots. [5400] Ms Glenda Jackson: The determination of departure slots at the UK's major airports is a matter for Airport Co-ordination Ltd. (ACL), in conjunction with BAA and National Air Traffic Services Ltd. ACL is wholly owned by 10 UK airlines. There is no policy on aircraft queuing to maximise the number of departure slots.
