If he plans to stay within the Department of Transport's spending limits for the next financial year as set out in the Budget Statement in November.

Sir George Young: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he plans to stay within the Department of Transport's spending limits for the next financial year as set out in the Budget Statement in November. [1507] Ms Glenda Jackson: Like other Departments, the Department of Transport is reviewing its objectives and priorities within the published expenditure limits set for 1997-98 and 1998-99.
