Mr. Canavan: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has to (a) reform or (b) abolish the feu system. [1065] Mr. McLeish: The Scottish Law Commission is reviewing this area as part of its Fifth Programme. Once the Commission has reported we will be considering the best way of taking forward the Government's commitment to abolishing the feudal system in the light of that report.
