What plans he has to revise the guidance notes published by the Building Societies Commission in respect of section 102A of the Building Societies Act 1986 as inserted by the Building Societies (Joint Account Holders) Act 1995. - None.

Mr. French: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what plans he has to revise the guidance notes published by the Building Societies Commission in respect of section 102A of the Building Societies Act 1986 as inserted by the Building Societies (Joint Account Holders) Act 1995. [21669] Mrs. Angela Knight: None. Guidance on conversion procedures is a matter for the commission. The guidance that it published in March 1996 took full account of the Building Societies (Joint Account Holders) Act 1995.
