Mr. Gordon Prentice: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what steps he is taking to support the United Kingdom's textile industry. [61315] Mr. Battle: DTI provides a wide range of support to the UK's textiles, clothing and footwear industries. Currently the Department is supporting 22 projects aimed specifically at raising the profile of the sector and improving its competitiveness.
