Mr. Brady: To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the future prospects on agriculture in the English lowlands. [58064] Mr. Nick Brown: While sterling remains at current levels, and with structural surpluses in most sectors, the prospects for increased commodity prices and improved incomes for all farming sectors in the year ahead are not good. That is why reform of the Common Agricultural Policy is so urgent.
