To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland, If he will designate the A1 trunk road as a core national route. (Failed OPQ)

Mr. Home Robertson: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will designate the A1 trunk road as a core national route. [56119] Mr. Macdonald: The term "core national route" relates to nationally important routes in England. Decisions on priorities for trunk road investment in Scotland will be taken in the light of the current Strategic Roads Review.
