Dr. Starkey: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what actions he will take to ensure that Science and Technology issues are taken into account in the work of Government Departments. [64081] Mr. Mandelson: I am today announcing a new group of Ministers who will have responsibility for supporting me in delivering my responsibility for science, engineering and technology across Government. I am looking to the new group to build on the work of the Ministerial Foresight Group--driving forward the Foresight Programme will be at the top of its agenda-- and to ensure that the Government takes full advantage of UK scientific excellence in delivering its objectives. The new group, which will be chaired by the Minister for Science, Lord Sainsbury, will have the following membership: _________________________________________________________________________________________________.
