Mr. Edwards: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what plans he has to introduce revised criteria for dealing with requests for noise mitigation on existing trunk roads built before current standards were introduced. [60696] Mr. Hain: Our plans to introduce revised criteria relating to noise mitigation matters were included (at paragraph 3.8) in the report on the review of the Welsh trunk road programme "Driving Wales Forward" published on 28 July. We are liaising with the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions on this matter and a separate announcement will be made in due course.
