To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to his Answer of 13th July, Official Report, 316 c61W on the Bank of England, what is the length of the lease and the amount of passing rent expressed in £ per square foot per annum for the Bank of England Office for Wales. - Inc figs. (Holding answer 17 July 1998).

Mr. Rhodri Morgan: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to his answer of 13 July 1998, Official Report, column 61, on the Bank of England, what is the length of the lease and the amount of passing rent expressed in £ per square foot per annum for the Bank of England Office for Wales. [51231] Mrs. Liddell: [holding answer 17 July 1998]: The Bank of England has a 15 year lease on the offices at Scott Harbour, Cardiff Bay. The passing rent is £16.50 per sq ft per annum.
