Mr. Baker: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his policy in respect of the environmental impact of his Budget. [35033] Dawn Primarolo: [holding answer 18 March 1998]: The Financial Statement and Budget Report includes an environmental assessment of the Budget measures which will have a significant effect on the environment. The Government are committed, more generally, to ensuring that policy appraisal includes an assessment of the environmental impacts.
