To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, how many people are employed by the (a) Welsh Development Agency, (b) Mid Wales Development Corporation and (c) Land Authority Wales; and how many in each body are engaged in administrative work. - Inc figs.

Mr. Barry Jones: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many people are employed by the (a) Welsh Development Agency, (b) Mid Wales Development Corporation and (c) Land Authority Wales; and how many in each body are engaged in administrative work. [32213] Mr. Hain: The information requested is as follows: (a) 340 of which 103 are engaged in administrative work; (b) 93 of which 23 are engaged in administrative work; (c) 48 of which 13.5 are engaged in administrative work. It should be noted that (b) relates to the Development Board for Rural Wales and that administrative work has been taken to mean clerical/secretarial activities.
