Attorney General

Question
To ask Mr Attorney General, if he will review the decision of the Charity Commissioner to permit the disposal of the French Convalescent Home.
Answer

Dr. Desmond Turner: To ask the Attorney-General if he will review the decision of the Charity Commissioner to permit the disposal of the French Convalescent Home. [28681] The Attorney-General: I do not have any power to review the decisions of the Charity Commissioners. Like other interested parties I could have appealed to the High Court and asked it to quash the Commissioners' decision but I was not persuaded that grounds for an appeal were made out.
