Mr. Alan Simpson: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how much intermediate-level and low-level nuclear waste that cannot be disposed of at Drigg is currently in store at AWE Aldermaston. [21806] Mr. Spellar: There is currently 2,549 cubic metres of intermediate and low level waste in store at AWE Aldermaston which is not suitable for disposal at BNFL Drigg.
