Mr. Michael J. Foster: To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the amount of income tax paid was per resident taxpayer in each county in England for the latest year for which data are available. [96412] Dawn Primarolo: The latest available estimates of income taxpayer numbers and the average income and income tax liability by region and county are published in Table 3.13 of "Inland Revenue Statistics 1999" which is available in the Library of the House.
